“Me & Carly Rae Jepsen.”

Okay, so I’m tidying up my official website www.timschouonline.com, where you can find all practical and current stuff about Tim Schou, (me) – It’s a little like cleaning out your closet, and today I found a section named “DREAMS”, where apparently I had written down a few dreams I’ve had. Literally my dreams.

I couldn’t make myself delete the section without saving the dreams and post them here, the blog, where it doesn’t have to all be so correct and practical. My blog is my real face, so I thought I’d post them in here the next few days. First one is called “Me & Carly Rae Jepsen” – Enjoy this weird little dream from back in 2015.

Okay…. Had the strangest dream about Carly Rae Jepsen. For those of you, who don’t know; a few years back, I did a duet with Carly that I’d written, called “Rest from the streets.” That was when “A FRIEND IN LONDON,” recorded their debut album in Canada. We did the duet with her just before she became the world’s biggest pop star, with the song “Call me maybe.” 

She got the hit a few months after we got her vocals down, so we thought of course: “JACKPOT. – This is it!”, as the agreement was that both of us were going to release the single. But Carly’s team, didn’t release the single. I still wonder if she ever heard the finished song, and if she remembers me and AFIL.

So back to the dream. I dreamed that I met her on the street, and I walked up behind her and said; “Carly, hi I’m Tim … Tim Schou …” And then she answered; “Yeah I know who you are, and we’re done here!” – I was confused and didn’t understand why she was so mad at me. I called out for her, and she explained that she was mad because ever since she got the success with her single “Call me maybe” we and our manager, had done nothing else than trying to steal her “Thunder.” I had to explain and apologize. It went on for some time, but then she found out, that I really was a sweet guy. I played “Rest from the streets” for her, she loved the track and we went into the studio together and recorded a new song. We became sweethearts and then I got famous in the U.S. and much success followed. The end. Dreams can be so simple.”
